Tourists coming into the city spent a crazy US$28.5 billion (AED104.7b) in 2016 alone
According to the annual Mastercard Destination Cities Index, New York came second as tourists spent a total of US$17.02 billion (AED62.4b), while the third position was secured by London where visitors splurged US$16.09 billion (AED58.7b) in 2016.
Dubai, however, was ahead of New York by almost double the amount
