Dubai Police Reunite Father And Daughter After Fake Passport Fiasco

Avatar

A Sri Lankan father who used a fake passport to get to Switzerland to meet his daughter, asked Dubai Police for help after being sent back to Sri Lanka through a transit in Dubai.

If you consider the consequences of asking for this kind of help elsewhere, it’s not much of a guarantee you’ll be listened to, or better yet, assisted.

However, how the Dubai Police handled this situation will astonish you.

Dubai Police went over and beyond for the father…

The Human Rights Department at Dubai Police contacted the United Nations (UN) refugee agency to sort out travel documents for his travel to Switzerland, had his daughter issue a visit visa for her father, and even paid for his ticket.

In only twelve days, the man got to see his daughter. Colonel Mohammad Al Murr, Director of Human Rights Department at Dubai Police told Gulf News that “their job wasn’t just to arrest and catch criminals but to help society and people.”

They are also big on supporting their employees

Recently, they helped out a Dubai Police employee with an infertility treatment, resulting in the man’s new son after many years of hoping for one. They also provided a Dhs 27,000 reading machine for a blind employee.
