Avatar

This month onwards ALL literally ALL the Dubai Duty-Free stores in Dubai (including Terminal 1, Terminal 2 and Terminal 3) will be accepting the Indian Rupee as payment.

Officially making the Indian Rupee the 16th foreign currency to be accepted by the Duty Free stores here in this Emirate.

A tweet released by the Dubai Duty- Free’s authorized Twitter handle had confirmed this news earlier today:

The denominations being accepted are: 100s, 200s, 500s and 2000’s

Indians solely are responsible for 18% of all of Dubai Duty Free’s business

In a statement recorded in 2018, it had been examined that the annual sales were of US$2.015 billion and INDIANS had a contribution of 18% into Dubai Duty Free’s total business.

Indians everywhere are proud and ecstatic hearing this news as this means much more than easy shopping

Wait there is a slight catch though: the only catch to this great news is that you will be receiving your change back in Dirhams!
