Emirates & Etihad Have Updated Their Rules Again As The Travel Ban Takes Another Twist

Avatar

Last week, President Donald Trump issued a temporary ban on the seven countries: Syria, Sudan, Libya, Iraq, Iran, Yemen and Somalia, causing sudden surprise to a lot of people who were supposed to travel to the U.S., as well as airlines to immediately take action and notify travellers.

Shortly after, we reported that Emirates, a Dubai-based airline, was offering refunds or flight rebookings to those affected by the travel ban. However, two days ago, a Seattle judge has blocked Trump’s executive order prohibiting the entry of travellers from the seven countries into the US. Thus, now allowing the entry of people from the said countries back in the U.S.

Due to this, Emirates and Etihad airlines are now accepting passengers, previously banned, to travel from the UAE to the United States

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection has officially informed airlines this week to allow passengers from the said seven countries travel to the U.S., as long as that they have valid visas and documents.

Although airlines such as: Air France, Lufthansa and Qatar Airways, have continued and complied with the U.S. Customs’ order, other airlines are waiting to see how the conditions would progress prior to making a decision to allowing passengers aboard their US flights again.
