Pop culture fans from across the Middle East are in for a treat this weekend as the region’s biggest meet-up, the Middle East Film and Comic Con (MEFCC), is back for its fifth year. 70,000 fans from 30 countries are expected to make the journey to the Dubai World Trade Centre this weekend for what promises to be a feast of Film, TV, Sci-Fi, Animation, Manga, Comics, Collectibles and much more.

Highlights include visits from some of the biggest stars of film and pop culture, workshops for budding artists and filmmakers, a showcase of regional and international artists, as well as a massive Cosplay Competition where fans can dress up as their favourite characters from the world of fantasy. Look out for endless stalls selling film and comic based goodies including Dubai’s very own Drawdeck, who will be selling comic posters, framed artwork and mugs as well as t-shirts emblazoned with your favourite characters and film quotes.

The Middle East Film & Comic Con kicks of on Thursday 7 April at 2pm until Saturday 9 April at 10pm. You can find out more at mefcc.com.
