A Fake Competition Has Duped More Than 200,000 People On Facebook And People Are Not Impressed
An account on Facebook, posing as the Crown Prince of Dubai is pretending to give away a mansion in Emirates Hills just for sharing the post, and has garnered more than 200,000 ‘entries’.
The ‘competition’ is posted to an unverified page that claims to be that of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and is offering participants the chance to win a mansion in Emirates Hills simply for sharing and liking the page.
Seems legit eh?
And tweeps found the social experiment intriguing
Many residents shared it (on our Facebook accounts too)
yeah I got it as well, just rolled my eyes and didn’t even bother correcting the person as clearly no point! *sigh*
