There Are So Many Footballers In Dubai RN And They Ended Up Having A Lot Of Things In Common
A whole host of sports stars, including several footballers and one boxing champion, have come in thick and fast to Dubai at the same time for many reasons- from attending the Globe Soccer Awards to ringing in the New Year or to get some of that Dubai sunshine.
It’s like the city has turned into one big football party…so much so that it’s almost impossible to keep up.

We’ll give you a lowdown on what everyone’s been up to…
1. First off, it was everyone’s fave Cristiano Ronaldo hanging out with HH Sheikh Hamdan like it’s NBD, and ushering 2019 with killer views
He is in Dubai to catch some zzzz and to also attend the Globe Soccer Awards, that happened on Thursday, where he was named Player of the Year.
He even hung out with boxing star Anthony Joshua, who, BTW, also celebrated New Year’s Eve at Burj Al Arab
Speaking of Globe Awards, a plethora of stars and former footballers were spotted (winning) at the event
From football legend Ronaldo Nazário de Lima
To Blaise Matuidi of Juventus
Several other footballers popped over at Nusr-et to snap that one selfie every celeb wants
A ‘gram with none other than #SaltBae
There was Bayern Munich star Franck Ribery who tucked into a steak laced with GOLD DUST (only in Dubai)
And Polish footballer Robert Lewandowski who looks equally enamoured with Salt Bae’s steak cutting skills
Plus FIFA President Gianni Infantino who declared the internet’s favourite chef as “no. 1”
Former Manchester United and Arsenal striker Robin Van Persie (RVP) was also enjoying his break in Dubai with fam
He hit up the sand dunes and Desert Safari with his folks where he, too, bumped into Anthony Joshua
Seriously, Anthony Joshua is everywhere…
Then there was RANGERS boss, Steven Gerrard and wife Alex, who popped over to enjoy some sun on one of Dubai’s fine beaches
