HH Sheikh Mohammed Is Full Of Praise For The 10-Year-Old Reading Champion

HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai has taken to Twitter to congratulate Mezna Najeeb who is a 5th grader in Al Ebdaa Model School.

After winning the Arab Reading Challenge Menza will be representing the country internationally as she will now go on to take part in the semifinals of the competition alongside the winners from various countries.

HH Sheikh Mohammed’s sweet post praising Mezna Najeeb

Translates to: “Congratulations to our champion Mezna Najeeb who outperformed 455,000 students from more than 1,400 public and private school to become the ARC winner of the UAE. With you, Mezna, and your fellow Arab students, we are optimistic about the future.”

Mezna beat more than 450,000 participants partaking in the Arab Reading Challenge

The ARC, Arab Reading Challenge was launched by Sheikh Mohammed back in 2015 to encourage millions of students to develop their reading skills, the successful challenge now sees an average of 13.5 million children participating in the fourth edition of the challenge.

AED400,000 worth of prizes were given out to the participating students of the competition, that was held at the Dubai Men’s College. Menza was chosen amongst the top 10 finalists across the Emirate’s education institutes.

The date for the final round of the Arabian Reading Challenge is yet to be announced.
