In 1993 Seven Hundred Tourists Came To Dubai By Cruise Ship – Last Year The Number Was Outrageous
Sometimes it takes startling numbers to see the progress Dubai has made over the past three decades. As we get on with our lives here, we hardly notice all the cruise ships and the tourists who get off a boat rather than a plan. Well, last year there were half a million of them.
In 1993, Dubai welcomed a cruise ship with 700 passengers on board. In 2015/2016 season it welcomed more than 500,000 cruise tourists.
This week Dubai was announced as the 4th most visited City in the world last year as it gears up to welcoming 20 million people by 2020.
