Tea time? More like Twitter time for the two influential personalities Jack Dorsey, CEO and co-founder of Twitter and of course Dubai’s very own Deputy Ruler, Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Jack Dorsey arrived at Dubai International Airport early Monday morning and set the Twitterverse in a frenzy with his SWANKY passport stamp that the Dubai customs issued exclusively for Dorsey.
Not jealous at all…
Dubai is the land of hospitality and who better to prove that than His Highness himself
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum also went onto Instagram to post a picture of Dorsey and HH Sheikh Maktoum and shared a sweet message where he welcomes the CEO of Twitter to the UAE and commends him on being a ‘leader of positive change on social media’.
His Highness also goes on to share, “We are pleased to have hosted Twitter’s CEO and cofounder @jack on his first visit to the Middle East and the UAE. I am also pleased to have launched my new Twitter account in his presence.”

HH Sheikh Mohammed also spoke of the significance of dialogue amongst nations and the representation of youth in today’s time
“Dubai and Twitter share many aspects in common. Both stand as global hubs open for people, build bridges of understanding and dialogue among nations and represent platforms to nurture youth’s energies and creativity.”

Overall today seems to have been a productive day for all
Other than engaging in a conversation about the importance of communication and social media it also appeared as if Jack Dorsey had assisted the Dubai Prince in setting up his official Twitter account.
Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s very first tweet translates to:
‘We are pleased to have hosted Twitter’s CEO and cofounder @jack on his first visit to the Middle East and the UAE. I am also pleased to have launched my new Twitter account in his presence Jack Dorsey.’
