Manny ‘Pacman’ Pacquiao, one of the top 5 boxers of all-time, made a pit stop to the Virgin Radio studio this morning to discuss his career, a ‘HUGE’ fight coming early next year and why he’s in Dubai.
The 40-year-old, who’s also the Senator in the Philippines and 8 Division World Champion, told Virgin Radio hosts Kris Fade, Priti Malik and Big Rossi that he was still in shock about all his accomplishments, to this very day.
He’s in town for the The Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL)’s friendly match tomorrow in the Emirate. MPBL is is a regional men’s semi-professional basketball league in the Philippines, founded by Pacman himself.
Pacman’s here to play in an exhibition match with his league
Since MPBL is one of the fastest-growing leagues in the Philippines, Pacquiao says he agreed to the Filipino expat community’s wishes- to have it brought here in Dubai.
So an event will take place at the Hamdan Sports Complex, with tickets starting at AED50, and is open to the public.
Amir Khan even slipped in a question during the interview
…asking if they could fight one day, to which Pacman responded that it could be discussed once he’s done with his next big fight that’s scheduled to take place early next year.
