#Need An Address?

Residents are offering their homes to anyone affected by the Dubai Fire

Following a massive blaze that broke out at The Address Downtown, crowds have been scrambling to make their way home from the area.

Thousands of people had been awaiting the firework display, due to start at midnight, but many are choosing to skip the show and make their way home.

Unfortunately, the Metro closed at 10pm and traffic is at a standstill, so in an impressive show of unity residents are opening their homes to tourists or anyone in the area who may be left stranded, or who had a room booked at the Address Downtown.

Uber have also added their help by removing surge pricing so people can make their way home at a cheaper rate.

We created a spreadsheet to collate all the available rooms in Dubai tonight for those impacted by #DubaiFire. If you know of a room, you can add it to the sheet.

Spread the word. #needanaddress

The campaign was started by two locals, Daniel & Shelina.

Kudos to you both!
