Playful Pots, Pans & Boards Looks To Inject Some Foodie Fun Into JBR

Yep, another Michelin-star chef is opening a restaurant in Dubai. It’s a story we’ve heard a thousand times, but there seems to be something a little different about this one.

Pots, Pans & Boards is a quirky concept dreamt up by two Michelin-star master chef Tom Aikens in which dishes are cooked at the centre of the dining space and served on or in - you guessed it - pots, pans or boards. Not a plate in sight.

“It’s very easy, simple service. Everything goes down on the table and people help themselves. It just creates a nice atmosphere. It’s all about sharing, eating, communicating and having fun.”

Opening this month as part of JBR’s The Beach, some of the informal restaurant’s must-try dishes include lamb burger with paprika aioli, oxtail burger with piquillo ketchup and smoked cheese and

According to the chef - who happened to be the youngest Brit to be awarded two Michelin stars (he’d done it by the age of 26) - the restaurant is all about “good food, good service and great fun.”

Which is music to our ears.
