These Redback Spiders Have Been Spotted In UAE

Redback spiders are one of the most dangerous creatures around. Three things that everyone should know about them: 1) they have really potent venom 2) their bites are extremely painful and 3) they prefer living near people. 

And we’re warning you because an Emirati man in Ras Al Khaimah has spotted it not once but twice in his home in the mountainous Ghaleela area.

Though he did contact the RAK Municipality and a team was sent to clean up the place, it is said there could be many more around there because of the high temperatures. 

The spider is indigenous to Australia. The male spider is about 3 millimetres long while the female one is about 1 centimetre long.
