If Residents Do Not Register Their Drones Under This New System They May Experience Jail Time

Citizens of the UAE who own or distribute drones will now have to register them online through a new national system.

The new system, that’ll be called My Drone, will be hosted on the ESMA (Emirates Standards and Metrology Authority) website where individuals will be able to register their drones to four different governmental entities.

The one platform will have everything

Once registering, the drones will be automatically put in the Ministry of Interior, Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, General Civil Aviation Authority and the ESMA systems without having to move around each and every one of the different departments.

Unique serial number

Each product will receive a unique serial number that’ll show information concerning its manufacturer, the owner as well as the distributor, and will be given a certificate that proves it can legally be in the UAE.

The website can be access by clicking here.

Anyone caught with an unregistered drone can experience hefty fines or even jail time
