7 Reasons Why You Need To Go To Sole DXB This November
Dubai Design District (d3) is the place to be on 18 and 19 November.
Why? Because that’s where you will get your dose of street culture with a little dust of the Middle East. Sole dxb is back to celebrate street fashion, art, music and even basketball.
It’s something you need to go to and here’s why:
1. The theme is ‘City of Gold’
Quite appropriate given Dubai’s souks and style history.
2. Top brands will be there
We’re talking Nike, adidas Originals, PUMA Select, New Balance and Level Shoes.
3. Say hello to footwear from hand-picked global collectors
The ‘swap and sale’ section will allow visitors to source footwear from a few global collectors.
4. Brands otherwise not available in the region will be showcasing their stuff
Head to the 3,000sq ft concept store called ‘Early Retirement’ if you want to check out brands such as Harmony Paris, Billionaire Boys Club, Army Of 1, Sneaker LAB and several other ones.
It also features the exclusive collab drop, PUMA Clyde x Sole ‘SWAG’.
5. Music is sorted with an incredible line-up
Names include Skepta, Little Simz, Dam Funk, BJ The Chicago Kid, DJ Clark Kent and Stretch Armstrong.
6. The food will be epic
Uncle Jheff (another concept from the guys behind Tom&Serg, The Sum of Us and Common Grounds) will be bringing Thai-inspired street food and Southeast Asian-inspired cocktails to Sole DXB.
7. There’s serious competition as well
The basketball game will showcase Dubai’s most promising players. NYC street ball personality Bobbito Garcia will be MC for the semi finals and finals. It’s an open winner-take-all tournament for AED 10,000.
Note: there’s no entry fee to play in the tournament. Participants must be 18 or older. Teams size: a coach and 12 players.
