A Popular Kitchen Product Has Been Banned From Coming Into The UAE As A Result Of It Containing Traces Of Alcohol
Kikkoman soy sauce produced in Japan has been banned from being imported into the UAE as well as being circulated around the market.
The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment issued the warning prohibiting the soy sauce in the UAE due to finding traces of alcohol content in the product when tested by specialised laboratories.
In accordance with the Ministerial Resolution No. 539 of 2012 on the Standard Guide to the Procedures for the Prohibition of Handling and Banning of Food, the product will be discontinued and consumers are urged to dispose any of the Japanese-made soy sauce.
