Emirati Commentator Sultan Al Qassemi Has Come Out With A Pretty Epic Response To The New Yorker’s Opinion Of Dubai
A recent article on The New Yorker headlined Dubai as the world’s Las Vegas.
Writer Andrew Marantz shared his one-day experience in the city, citing a visit to the Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates to Ski Dubai.
The article was shared two days ago and while some of the statements he made are not unfair, it showed Dubai as a cold and artificial place – again, not unfair considering he visited Ski Dubai.
But the article seemed to miss out several components of Dubai that are part of the city’s soul.
