The Main Cause Of Accidents On Dubai Roads That Led To 18 Deaths In The Past Nine Months Has Been Released

Last week on Friday afternoon, a 16-year-old Jordanian girl died because the Land Cruiser in which she was a passenger lost control and crashed. Before that, almost ten days back, four people lost their lives in another tragic road accident on Emirates Road.

These are two of the 450 accidents which resulted in 18 deaths and 421 injuries in the last nine months alone this year.

What were the two main causes of accidents on Dubai roads

According to Dubai Police, sudden swerving and speeding were the two reasons behind these multiple accidents in the past nine months. 

Brigadier Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, director of general department, said that taking abrupt turns and not abiding by the speed limit have resulted in the deaths of 18 people so far from January 2017. He also revealed that apart from these, other reasons of fatal accidents in Dubai include tailgating and lack of attention given to road users.

Immediate measures should be taken to tackle the problem

Maintenance of your car should be at the top most priority. One need to check their cars periodically, especially the condition of the tires. Secondly, all the car accessories and tires should be bought from authorized sellers.
