The New AED6 Billion Bluewater Island In JBR Is The Closest Thing To Paradise In Dubai
Several UAE residents have been tweeting about a ‘ferris wheel’ construction in sight while enjoying the sun at JBR’s The Beach. It left many of us to wonder what new innovation could spruce up out of the city of innovation.
Turns out it’s a part of theĀ AED6 Billion project called the Bluewaters Island is set to complete its handover by 2018.Ā
The Ferris wheel looking thing is set to be the world’s largestĀ
Naturally called theĀ Ain DubaiĀ or Dubai Eye will stand over 210 metres tall and will be spacious enough for people to take strolls inside each cube.
The island will have its own monorail system
The island will not only have residential complexes but leisure and entertainment, retail and hotels. The private island will be connected to The Beach in JBR through a bridge, that will also give way from Sheikh Zayed Road.

The island will include 10 residential buildings set on the waterfront, with 17 townhouses and almost 700 apartments. The video (above) shows the plans for the extravagant penthouses with its own pools and of course, the incredible view of Dubai’s skyline.
The island will also have its own five-star hotels and over hundreds of shops and restaurants.
