The Person Just Made Responsible For Women’s Empowerment In The UN Is An Emirati Female
Lana Nusseibeh, who was appointed the UAE’s first permanent female representative to the UN four years ago, has achieved a new milestone. She has recently been elected as president of the United Nation’s Women Executive Board, for the first time since its launch seven years ago.
Nusseibeh will take on the role of implementing new plans for 2018-2021 with regards to gender equality, and she has stated that “gender equality is of paramount importance to the UAE”, United Nations Int’l said.
Many have expressed their pride and joy for having Lana represent the UAE to the United Nations
