There’s A Place In Umm Al Quwain Where Volunteers Can Come And Walk The Dogs And It Will Truly Melt Your Heart
Stray Dog Centre UAEQ is a non-profit organisation that sets to help animals who have been abused, neglected and abandoned. They’ve initiated a ‘Volunteers Day’ fixture on the weekends where anyone and everyone can walk dogs from a kennel in Umm Al Quwain.
Apart from walking dogs, volunteers can also choose to adopt or foster a dog, donate some food (if they wish) or simply just leave knowing you’ve given these beautiful pups your time and affection.
Residents from Dubai have been volunteering and the photos/videos will truly humble you
Awww.. Who wouldn’t want to be around these fluffballs?
Why volunteer?
Not only do you get to give these lonely dogs a temporary feeling of affection, but both they and you get your exercise by walking the dogs. Often times, you can walk them through the sand dunes too.
How to volunteer:
If you’re from Dubai, you can contact the numbers listed below (photo) and ask for further information, or through the Stray Dogs Center UAEQ Facebook page. Pick-up points will be around Dubai and might differ each weekend.
A small donation or dog food would be appreciated, however, not required. Your compassionate heart is what matters the most.
