This Dubai Kid Could Be Playing In La Liga Soon!
The duFC elite program was launched last year as an initiative to find the best footballers in the UAE and give them a chance to train with La Liga teams. A selection process for a squad of 34 footballers took place, whittled down from over 7,000 applications of young footballers based in the UAE. Following the selection process and the revealing, the squad travelled to Spain and took part in a number of pre-season friendly matches.
One player stood out. Ahmed El Yamani, 15, from Lebanon but living in Dubai, put in performances that earned himself a trial with Malaga youth club, known as the one of the top youth teams in Spain.
