This year, the country’s President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan declared 2017 as the Year of Giving, because Giving is an important value that the country and its founding father, Sheikh Zayed has implemented in the country and its people.

However, NomNom Asia, a restaurant with branches in both Karama and Barsha have been offering free lunches to the jobseekers since last year.

If you think there’s a catch, think again…

A few passersby have been noticing and posting on social media of this restaurant’s signboard with their initiative. The sign reads that they offer free lunch sets and for any job seekers, and those who feel like paying back another time when and if they can, are free to do so.

They even distributed free meals to 100 laborers, as well as give back during Ramadan

Truly a restaurant with a heart

Owners Vivek Balaney and Sanjay Mohan have said that although they are not able to give jobs to seekers, providing free food was at least the help they could offer, having the restaurant. NomNom Asia has no plans on taking the sign down, for as long as they can manage, the initiative will stay.
