Three men attempted to steal AED2 million worth of children’s’ clothes in Ras Al Khor.

The men, who were 21-23 year old Pakistanis, spent almost three hours attempting to break the locks of a warehouse that was owned by a Chinese businesswoman but ran away when a car was spotted in the distance.

They were charged with robbery attempt

Despite nothing being stolen, two out of three of the warehouse locks were broken, which was reported during the early mornings of August 5.

Even though two of the men were wearing masks, CCTV footage helped police and CID officers identify and capture the thieves only two days later – where the third man claimed he was only asked to accompany the other two.

They admitted they were guilty

Not only did both masked men admit that they were guilty and did attempt to rob the warehouse, they had also revealed that they were previously working as porters for the owner.

They were all charged with robbery attempt in the Court of First Instance.
