Dubai spoils us way too much, whether it’s never having to pack your groceries, throw away contents of fast-food trays or even use cash in most places.
There’s no denying the fact that there is now an app for pretty much everything we need to get done, so much so that we’ve grown accustomed to certain things and find it hard to break the habit when back in our native countries.
You know you’ve been in Dubai for far too long when you make these mistakes, at least once or twice, especially when not in the city.
Like forgetting to flip the water tap in public bathrooms
Because, you know, who even still uses sinks manually?
When the sink doesn’t automatically open and you forget the tap open, my bf says.

After coming back from vacays, there’s STILL always a new upgrade in the city
You come back from a short vacation and a new flyover has opened

That 15-minute drive from JLT to Barsha is too far
Oh, the hassle
You know you’ve been in Dubai far too long when…
..you stand at doors expecting them to automatically open.
..your doctor has valet, and that doesn’t seem unusual.
..you’re freezing when the temperature hits sub 25.
..the 15 minute drive to the other end of town is too far.

A trip to the doctor or dentist’s office has valet and it’s totally casual
Peeps in Dubai when the temp hits below 25
Awkwardly standing at doors expecting them to automatically open like
Got some of yours?
