WATCH: HH Sheikh Mohammed Proves How Much He Loves Nature In This Latest Video
His Highness Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Commander of the UAE Armed Forces was touringĀ a construction site in Dubai yesterday. The tour came to a halt when the rulers discovered that a Houbara Bustard was nesting on the site. In light of the Houbara Bustard being an endangered bird in the region, His Highness remained true to his reputation as a lover of nature and moved the construction to a different site.
The video was posted by Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nayhan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior with the following caption:Ā
“I share with you my Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed “God keep them,” during their meeting a week ago in Dubai. Whilst wandering in a forest, the equipment was working on a tunnel for exercise. Then they noticed the presence of a “houbara” lying on its eggs at the site of construction.
They ordered the project site to be moved to the other end of the site so that its eggs would hatch.
