The introduction of these cars is set to come with a bunch of great advantages, including DEWA’s EV Green Chargers, free Salik tags, and so much more. 

So here it is, here are 6 reasons why maybe YOU should invest in an electronic vehicle this year and Go Green!

1. Free charging

Electronic vehicle drivers will be able to charge their cars for FREE at any DEWA station (until 2019).

2. Free parking 

Designated green parking areas all over the Emirates will be made available, for FREE, for individuals driving environmentally friendly cars.

3. Registration is free

Registering cars are usually such a hassle and costly, but for anyone driving an electronic vehicle, they will not have to deal with this burden as they will be registered into the system at no cost! 

P.S, renewal fees are wavered too!

4. Fear-no-Salik

Also receive a free Salik tag with your vehicle as well as a cool licence plate sticker identifying your new whip as an electric one! 

5. Save money 

The tariff for charging electric vehicles will be set at 29 fils per kilowatt hour, bringing it to a total of exactly AED7 to fill a small-sized EV Renault.
