Emirates May Completely Overhaul Economy Seating Which Will Mean Cheaper Journeys For Everyone
Emirates is considering offering a tiered pay scale for economy class seats.
The aim is to offer more affordable options for budget travellers and therefore compete with long-haul low-cost carriers, according to sources.
‘Economy’ could now mean three or four price variations for economy seats, according to Emirates CEO Sir Tim Clark who has seen the shift in short-haul travel to budget while the long-haul industry is now facing a similar fate.

The announcement was made by Clark at the Aviation Festival in London on Thursday.
