The UAE has been awarded ‘the most powerful passport in the GCC’ by the Passport Index during a ceremony on Thursday. Arton Capital, an advisor for residence and citizenship, ranks passports based on their “visa-free score”; and the UAE tops the rest of the GCC countries because UAE passport holders can travel to 128 countries, without a visa.

This visa-free score places UAE in the top 25 passports globally

According to The National, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has begun further strengthening the power of UAE passports, so that its locals could benefit from visa-free travel in more countries. With plans to further get visa-free travel to 18 more countries, the UAE has already managed to sign agreements with Argentina and Brazil in 2017.
