These Buildings Give Clues To What The UAE Pavilion at Dubai Expo 2020 Will Look Like.
Progress is being made every week on the development for Expo 2020. Yesterday, the designer for the UAE pavilion was selected with one photo of the winning design being released.
The company who would the contract to create the Pavillion are called Falcon Design. The concept, by Spanish Architect Santiago Calatrava , the same guy who designed the Dubai Tower. This design was chosen from a shortlist of 11 based on how they represented the Expo theme of Connecting Minds, Creating the Future.
The pavilion will be built on a 15,000-square-metre site facing Al Wasl Plaza at the centre of the 200-hectare exhibition zone. It is hoped to be one of the lasting legacies of the Expo, see also 5 things you need to know about Expo 2020.
