7 People You’ll See This Weekend At The Big Spring Clearance

Avatar

The Big Spring Clearance at Dubai World Trade Centre is on this weekend, and attracts all kinds of shoppers.

A huge number of outlets pop-up at the event, in a bid to clear out old seasons’ stock.

It means a huge range of people come along in an aim to get some bargains – and here are seven kinds of people you will probably see if you head to DWTC this weekend.

1. The ‘shopping for sports’ hustler

Do NOT get in this person’s way – they will out-maneuver you at every turn, and if they need to, will push people down. These guys are seasoned bargain hunters who take no prisoners.

2. The stroller-war veterans

These parents bring the prams along in a bid to help them get a bit more space among the stock, but are more often seen arguing with security because they aren’t allowed to take the prams into the sale racks.

3. The ‘how did I get here?’ lost people

They walk around wide-eyed, not quite believing what they are seeing and aren’t really sure why they are here or how they got into these sales.

5. The dutiful bag-carrying partner

This poor soul has been at the sales for hours and is carrying all the bags, while their partner tries on hundreds of pairs of shoes. They dutifully give opinions when asked and immediately look back to their game of Candy Crush.

5. The efficient shopper

Commonly seen with a list in hand, this shopper BYOs bags, and knows what they need and where it is. They power walk between stalls and these guys mean business.

6. The bored child

He came along with Mum and Dad and he’s had enough. The kid is usually found messing up the displays, and hiding in the clothing rails – be careful, he might give you a fright!

7. The bickering couple

They’re arguing about who knows what, but it’s fairly loud and a bit awkward. They’re probably just a bit over the crowds and shopping for the last six hours.

Steer clear of these two, they’re not in good moods!
