1 The ‘always up for a party’ friend
You know the one. You need a drink, and want to go out but no one else is keen…except this friend. You can ALWAYS count on them to hit the town with, and they’re great to take along to events.

They herd everyone places, basically organise your whole weekend and every event for everyone.
This friend will make all the arrangements, book the venue and tell everyone where to go – you just have to turn up.
3 The pyjama buddy
One of the most important friends to have in the UAE, your pyjama buddies are the ones you can call at any time of day or night. They’re the kind of friend who is okay if you don’t want to go out – and you just hang out in your ‘jammies on the couch.
4 The hugger
We’re often starved for physical affection here, so you always need a buddy that will give you a warm embrace when you need it. (Sometimes is also the pyjama buddy)
5 The warrior
When things get overwhelming and you’d normally look to your mum or childhood BFF to help, you need your warrior friend. The one who’s a proper adult and can stick up for you when you need it, or help you decipher overwhelming paperwork and basically can lend you that AED100 for food before pay day…and basically help you take on the world
6 The health nut
This friend is basically the only one between you and obesity. They motivate you to go for runs, just to burn off brunch basically. You can always count on them to come with you to a random gym class too.
7 The adventurer
This friend is always doing cool stuff on the weekends. They push you out of your comfort zone, and make you try the most random things, which you usually end up loving…and they make your Instagram on point.
8 That friend who knows EVERYONE
It’s sometimes annoying, but it’s usually really handy. That friend who has been here forever, knows everyone you know, runs into people no matter where you are, and is ALWAYS the ‘mutual friend’ with your matches on Tinder. This friend is great when you need a connection, like looking for a roommate, or recommending random tailors, real estate agents, and all kinds of things.
