Barasi is a beach bar and it’s a force to be reckoned with.
It’s huge, with three floors, a pool, a private beach, space for three stages and if you go in summer you need a Sat-Nat to correctly navigate your way through, AMIRITE?
But it hasn’t always been this way.
Now, the go-to for pool days, matches, brunch partays, you’re always guaranteed a crowd and you’ll find it packed to the rafters (there are rafters during summer months!) at the weekend. But it was once just a solitary beach shack with an idyllic-looking pool.
Barasti Beach Bar opened in the mid-nineties and back then it was just a humble bar
Jane Thomas shared the following image to Facebook Group, You know you’ve been in dubai too long when… (this is a quality for nostalgic posts) and it’s a prime example of an epic Dubai transformation.
“An old photo of Barasti and the original rock pool. An aviation Chairman’s Ferrari at the front of the pic”
And the comments have taken a nostalgic turn
From humble beginnings to this
From a rock pool to one of Dubai’s most popular pool days and biggest beach club.
