So, amid the Bella Hadid controversy, where a controversial image the American Palestinian model posted online was met with major backlash on UAE and Saudi Twitter, the Twitterari called on fashion brands associated with the model AND malls where the model’s image are featured to “Stop working with Bella”.

The internet wanted Bella Hadid cancelled and both of Dubai’s most popular malls have responded

Netizens called on brands and malls to distance themselves from the model

Without naming the model, Mall of the Emirates Twitter account made clear the values of the model are not in line with the values of the mall

In a number of tweets, the mall reiterated the same sentiment

“Neither Emirati people nor our Saudi friends want to see her face in our favorite malls”

The model did issue an apology at the time, but has remained schtum since
