Removing your hair at the end of your pilgrimage is obligatory and it’s up to you how much you remove, but for men, a full-shave is preferred.
There are barber stations within Mecca and following the pilgrimage, males visit head-shaving stations. Men can choose to fully shave their heads, or a slight cut, while women cut a short length from their hair.
