The Christmas Bucket List: 5 Things You Have To Do In Dubai Before Christmas Is Over

Avatar

Ah Christmas, it’s well and truly the festive season, and Dubai is in overdrive with all the pop-ups, Santa grottos, festive feasts and New Year’s parties.

So where do you even begin?

Well, we’re here to help. Before you jet-set off for Christmas, or go into a food-induced Christmas coma, here are some things you DEFINITELY need to try before the month is out.

1. Ski Dubai

If you’re dreaming of a white Christmas, Ski Dubai has you covered. With the Christmas carols playing throughout the slopes, and the festive decorations on the pine trees, you’ll basically feel like you’re skiing in the North Pole!

Plus, Santa might make a surprise appearance while you’re there.

2. Visit a Christmas Grotto

With a few special Christmas grottos popping up around town, you can head to either WAFI mall or to Le Meridien Dubai for a special one. Le Meridien’s Santa speaks four languages, and there is gingerbread decorating and games to play.

3. Have dinner at The Scene

One of the most Christmassy venues in town, The Scene has more than just a Christmas tree up. There are carols playing every night, staff are in festive dress, and the entire restaurant is adorned with Christmas decor.

4. Hot chocolate at Apres

Adorable Apres is a year-round hit thanks to its stunning views of Ski Dubai, it’s warm lodge feel and its hearty food. And when better than Christmas to enjoy?

There are Christmas foodie specials including a festive burger, loaded cranberry fries and spiked hot chocolate.

5. Visit a Christmas Market

The Winter Garden Market is on once again at Habtoor City, and it’s in the beautiful gardens of the St Regis. Enjoy evening entertainment, food and retail stalls in a gorgeous setting, and of COURSE Santa will be making a special appearance!
