A Dubai Startup That Aims To Stop Road Accidents By Making Cars Smarter Has Just Raised US $1.5 Million

Derq is a Dubai based start up that is working on technology that can predict incidents such as crashes and then inform the drivers so they can avoid them.

The company is based in Dubai and was spun out of MIT where the founder and CEO Georges Aoude earned a Ph.D in aerospace engineering.

It has recently raised US $1.5 million in seed funding from Techstars Mobility Accelerator

Derq has already signed an agreement with Dubai-based agencies to try its artificial intellegience based technology on the roads of Dubai.
