The UAE’s First Astronaut Reveals “Nothing Compares To How Beautiful The UAE Looks From Space”

The UAE’s first-ever astronaut is currently in the midst of an eight-day mission.

During his time on-board the International Space Station, Hazza al Mansouri will conduct experiments relating to gravity, however, he is also reporting back to the UAE twice daily with live feed interviews and we’re getting just a small insight into his unique journey.

HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai was one of the first to question Al Mansouri and since then, Hazza has revealed unique aspects of his life in space

HH Sheikh Mohammed attended the first call and questioned him about his journey.

Food in space doesn’t taste as good as it does on earth

Students and citizens were invited to attend a live interview and Hazza answered questions about life in space.

According to the Hazza, the food is bland and he’s using more salt and pepper (which is in liquid form) to add taste to his meals.

To sleep, the astronauts attach sleeping bags to the walls or ceiling and get comfy within

Due to the lack of gravity, they must be strapped in, or they would float throughout the night.

Illness is reported immediately to ground staff and there are full medical kits onboard, however, illness is rare, as the ISS is sterile and free from bacteria

This was the memorable moment Hazza joined the ISS.
