Jazz Lovers: Here’s A List Of The Best Bars To Check Out When You’re In That Mood
Jazz lovers know one thing to be true: there’s nothing quite like being in a jazz bar, either all alone or with one other person. After all, nothing like sipping on some fine bubbly, dressed to the nines and smoothly swaying along to the jazzy beats of a live-band.
There are a couple of spots in Dubai that hit just the right spot when you crave some ‘boogie-woogie bugle boy of Company B’ moments.

1. Q’s Bar and Lounge, Palazzo Versace
Located in the fab-yoo-lous Palazzo Versace is Quincy Jones’ first bar, complete with the atmosphere of a ’40s Manhattan upscale bar and the sounds of live acts- directed by the legend Quincy Jones himself.
Oh Dubai, you never fail to disappoint.
It is also a cigar bar btw, in case the above details weren’t a convincing enough reason to visit.
Make sure to listen to the live tunes of David Davis and his band, and this is guaranteed to be your new weekday hotspot.
2. The Green Room, Galvin Bistrot and Bar
Although this pop-up jazz bar is only going to be around until May- it’s been talked about in Dubai. There are some live shows scheduled from now until May, so make you’re up-to-date by checking their Instagram account.
The concept of The Green Room was thought up by TWO jazz lovers: John Gillespie and Adam Long.
So you know the whole place will be inspired by the best of what the genre has to offer.
3. NOLA Eatery and Social House, JLT
We included NOLA in our last list of jazz bars too, and there’s no question why it makes its return to this one.
Upon entering NOLA during ladies nights or a day out of the weekend, you immediately feel like you’re in a different year.
There’s nothing like time-travel back to early New Orleans- while tasting the deliciousness of jambalaya and some fine jazzy tunes all night.
4. Blue Bar, Novotel World Trade Center
If you’re into a vibe with less crowd, more intimacy where you get to intake ALL the jazz you can- then Blue Bar might be the jazz bar of your dreams.
Located in Novotel in Sheikh Zayed Road, Blue Bar has options of sampler dishes that will accompany the cocktails of your choice.

5. The Clavichord, Signature Hotels
This Barsha Heights gem has live jazz musicians on some days throughout the week. Don’t miss out on catching a performance by The Afif Brothers- a jazzy trio like no other.
