When you go to a bar, a nightclub or a show, you can expect to pay a bit more, but these prices REALLY take the biscuit.
Kris Fade went to a show this week and he was left utterly shocked at the price of soft drinks. He said the tickets for the show itself cost under AED200, but to be asked to pay this much for a soda was ridiculous.
AED29 for a can of fizzy, is this for real?!

While others suggested these prices will discourage drinking unhealthy soda
An excise tax was introduced on October 1, 2017. This included a 50% tax on sugary drinks and a 100% tax on tobacco and energy drinks – dubbed a ‘health tax’ at the time.
