A Ridiculous New Reality Tv Show Is Pitting Women Against Each Other In Housework Competitions
A new tv show on Arabic channel, Fatafeat is screening a rather retro television series called ‘Mother-in-Law Bootcamp’.
The show pits young women against each other in a series of challenges regarding housework.
The challenges range from keeping a house clean, to milking a cow, de-feathering chickens and dealing with unruly children in a bid to win a house.
*They can’t be serious!?*
The show has three celebrity judges posing as mothers-in-law to judge the contestants
Because you know, all of us women aspire to have our housework judged by celebrities – live on television no less.
Head of content at Discovery Networks MENA, Nahla Elmallawany says the show offers a “fun and educational look into what can be one of the most stressful moments in a woman’s life.”
Yes, because women’s lives are defined by what their husbands and mothers-in-law think of them, and that’s what their existence should centre on. *queue eye-roll*
Surely women have more facets to them, for any show – than just how they keep a house and their getting along with the husband’s mother?
Well, apparently not for this bootcamp. You can catch this ridiculous show on Friday evenings at 10pm on Fatafeat.
