For More Success Stories Of UAE Businesses We All Need To Get Behind Startups And SMEs

It’s always great news when a UAE brand goes international.

Particularly when it’s a smaller brand, or beloved start-up.

It was celebrated when Ruya, the beautiful Anatolian resto in Grosvenor House, announced it was opening a branch in London. And it doesn’t really happen enough!

In a city, and a country of big brands and international imports, it can be tough for smaller businesses and start-ups to flourish

In part due to a lack of investment by the local population.

We all need to get behind these businesses to help them – look at Careem. The region got fully behind this great brand, and watched it grow and prosper into an international business.

Ruya has been so successful that it has opened a London branch, and it is because it’s been popular and supported in Dubai.

There are all too many restaurants and businesses closing down

Sure, in part due to competition, but its been sad to see some of Dubai’s more notable venues closing up shop – which wouldn’t have been the case for them if they were thriving businesses.

The best way to communicate is through your money and spending – if you want to see businesses thrive, you need to support them.

So hopefully we see more cases like Careem and Ruya, and less of these great places closing down.
