6 Times You’ll Have Your Personal Space Invaded In Dubai

This city somewhat lacks in awareness of the personal space bubbles and it’s so frustrating for some. 

And there are often places that it happens more than others. 

Here are six times you’ll need to forgo your personal space. 

1. When there’s a sale on at H&M 

Seriously, get outta my space and STOP PUSHING. It all gets a bit cutthroat when those discounts kick in. 

2. In the mosh-pit at concerts

People get overexcited and tensions become high often in the mosh pits. It doesn’t help that so many people just don’t get the concept of personal space. 

3. Peak hour on the metro 

You’ve got to have your wits about you on the metro during peak hour or you might just get shoved off the train. 

4. Fridays at Dubai Mall

Can those tourists gimme some space please!? You’ll get swept away in the crowds if you aren’t careful. 

5. When there are free samples at Carrefour

Those elbows come at you from all angles, and a few swift defensive moves would make those cheese samples all the tastier…for you.  

6. The baggage claim 

WHY oh WHY do people insist on standing so close to the belt that their knees touch it? We ALL want to get our bags buddy – if everyone just takes a step back, we can all get in – okay?  

You don’t have to mount the conveyor belt (and my trolley!)

Maybe it’s worth just staying in this weekend. Sigh.
