One of the most followed feeds in the country for food related ‘tings (she’s about to reach an impressive 210k) Karen’s talent for creating ‘insta worthy food piccies is bar none.
E-VE-RYTHINNNGGG on her feed looks to-die-for and her epic spiralizer skills are probably Olympic standard
Her updates are mostly food related, until a couple of months ago, Karen announced her pregnancy
Twins! Her followers celebrated with her, and now every now and then she shares the ins-and-outs of #pregnantlife and shots of her growing bump. She hasn’t been afraid to tell people the real deal and has been honest about the difficulties, with an underlying thread of gratitude for a healthy pregnancy.
“Pregnancy is hard. Very hard. Don’t be fooled by all the pretty pictures. Everyday I have to remind myself, I’m growing 2 beautiful babies, who I love very much and that’s pretty amazing!! ? All the heart burn, acid reflux, sleep deprivation, emotional tears, frequent toilet breaks, sinus congestion, sciatica pain is all worth it ? #23weekspregnant“
Her most recent update is the rarely shared story, but one that needs to be heard
Karen shared her miscarriage history. She revealed she previously had two miscarriages, and she wanted her followers to know that if they’re going through pain, they’re not alone.
A study shows that taking into account all known and unknown miscarriages, (some can occur unnoticed) miscarriages can happen more often than not, however, as much pain and devastation that people go through at the time, the stories generally go unheard.
Shout out to Karen for sharing her loss and wishing her the very best for her forthcoming pregnancy.
“The most difficult thing I’ve ever gone through”
“This is actually my 3rd pregnancy. I’ve lost 2 babies in the past, and then 2 babies came back. Everyday I’m so grateful that they are still here with me today/ Miscarriages are very common and is the most difficult thing I’ve ever gone through. I’m not even sure how I got through it, but I did. Just wanted to let you know that if you’re going through a difficult time, you’re not alone. #24weekspregnant #rainbowtwins
