Sharjah Is In Mourning For One Of Its Sons: Sheikh Khalid’s London Fashion Label Shared A Touching Tribute

Sharjah and the UAE are in shock following the tragic and sudden death of Sheikh Khalid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the son of the Ruler of Sharjah.

Sheikh Khalid passed in London as announced by Sharjah’s Ruler’s Court, and Sharjah will begin a three day period of mourning for the artistic individual who devoted his life to creativity.

Sheikh Khalid was a fashion designer and the London fashion label he created, named after his family, posted a touching tribute to the Sheikh, noting the huge loss that will be felt by the team and family and asking for privacy at this time.

Following studies in the UK, Sheikh Khalid used two degrees from renowned design school Central Saint Martins, London to go on to lead the creative direction of Qasimi

Using an architectural approach to design, Qasimi’s runways shows were distinctive

The brand is built on four pillars: architecture, colour, military and messaging, a reflection of Qasimi’s values and history.

His most recent show was held at London Fashion Week in the beginning of June

His father, the ruler of Sharjah, shared a fitting video tribute of his son

Rulers of Dubai and other Emirates have all offered condolences following the death, a tragedy for a family where Sheikh Khalid’s eldest brother Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasim also died at a young age, he was found dead at the age of 24 in 1999.
