Shisha, hookah, hubbly bubbly…whatever you call it, Dubai has it. The traditional Middle Eastern water pipe used for smoking flavoured tobacco is a prominent part of most evening or post dinner gatherings in the city. From the classic to the ice and the fruit ones, these venues offer it all!

1. The Courtyard, Manzil Downtown Dubai (04 428 5888)

You know you’re a shisha enthusiast when the ‘no reservations policy’ doesn’t bother you and you are ready to wait for your table at this popular Downtown venue (there are ways to work around it though, shhh we didn’t say a thing). A second visit is all it takes to realise how many people keep coming back for the ‘smooth’ shisha. Prices start from AED 90.
