This cute comic explains the Panama Papers leak perfectly
Incase you're still wondering what it's all about
It seems to be all the papers and news sites are talking about and to be honest it's a little confusing. In a nutshell, it's about a huge leak of papers (more than 11 million documents) from a Panama law firm, the documents reveal a long list of world leaders, politicians, celebrities and other rich type people who use offshore tax regimes...that bit is pretty legal. What's a bit dodgy, are the people who use these accounts for money laundering and hiding money using names other than their own...this is what journalists all over the world are now sifting through the documents to find out.
Want this in a more fun explanation? You're in luck, a reddit user called DanGliesack came up with a clever analogy about kids with piggy banks to explain the whole affair, what we loved even more is when news site vox.com decided to illustrate his analogy comic style and produced our favourite explanation of the Panama Papers so far. Enjoy...
