This woman is dividing the Arab world with her views on the west

Saudi-born singer Shams Bandar, also known as “Shams the Kuwaiti,” recently declared that she was renouncing her Saudi and Kuwaiti nationalities for the sake of European citizenship. In an interview a few months ago she defended her decision with some pretty strong points that not everyone agrees with. The video has gone viral on social media with millions of views on Facebook alone. Along with some negative comments, there’s been thousands of positive remarks too, many calling her ‘brave’ to speak out.
