Meat Lovers Heaven: Top 5 Brazilians In Dubai

Avatar

There’s more than a month left to the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, but we’re already thinking all things Brazil. The carnivals, the samba, the football players and of course the FOOD. Lucky for us (and you), these restaurants in Dubai offer the experience without us having to make a trip there. And if you’re thinking não acredito (translated: I do not believe you), then check it out for yourself.

5. Texas De Brazil, Mall of the Emirates

What do you get when Southern Brazilian cuisine merges with the generous spirit of Texas? The 6th international outlet of this award-winning churrascaria. With the help of red and green disks, diners direct gauchos whether they need a break or can go on (which most do) with the fantastic selection of grilled beef, lamb, chicken, sausage and prawns available. The eat-all-you-can experience is available at AED 129 (lunch) and AED 165 (dinner). The Iftar package is available at AED 199 and includes a welcome drink, 12 flame-grilled meat cuts, 50 gourmet salads and dessert.

4. Spirito, Media One Hotel

Cool decor, including a colourful ceiling and a vibrant ambience (thanks to its weekly offers) make this Brazilian Lounge and Kitchen a fun hangout. Signature dishes you’d want to get a taste of include coxinha (smoked chicken croquettes with Romesco Sauce) and churrasquinho (boneless lamb rib skewer, fennel, apple & peanut slaw). With authentic flavours on your plate and a bar which serves variations of Brazil’s famous Caipirinha cocktail – could you ask for anything else? Nah we don’t think so!

3. Frevo, Fairmont The Palm

It’s best described as ‘Brazil on the beach’, though there’s the option to dine indoors as well. The family-friendly venue offers churrascaria-style dining, served with a side of Dubai Marina views. Head there with an appetite because it’s constant carving of meat at your table, unless you press the red button which brings the indulgence to a halt. Opt for the Frevo experience – cheese, soup, salad, more than 10 grilled variations and desserts – priced at AED 295.

2. Fogueira Restaurant & Lounge, Ramada Plaza JBR

Given that the restaurant is located on the 35th floor, you’re not just taking in endless amounts of meat but also great views. Traditional appetisers and a salad bar accompany the 15 Brazilian BBQ cuts here. While there is no live entertainment during Ramadan, the restaurant boasts a great band and Samba dancers through most of the week. In short: it’s an experience.

1. Chamas Churrascaria & Bar, Crowne Plaza Dubai

It received the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence 2015. This should explain why we (and others) believe it deserves the first spot on our list. And if that isn’t reason enough, then let’s just say it combines fantastic food with fabulous service. There’s no band playing during Ramadan, but that doesn’t stop you from enjoying passadores (meat waiters – yes, it’s an actual job) serve you 18 kinds of skewers (steak, lamb, chicken) at your table. Don’t forget to wash it all down with caipirinha.
